Throughout human history, stories have been a tool for sharing valuable information. We find that similar ideas often recur across different cultures and geographies. We are building Sarvlok to gather such stories from the past and gain insights for the future.

Sarvlok means ‘universe’ (‘sarv’ + ‘lok’). It is derived from a structure that developed independently in various civilizations, dividing the world into three segments (3 loks). Sarvlok is an evolved version comprising 14 loks – 7 above and 7 below. The 14 realms of Sarvlok can also be interpreted as a map for states of consciousness.

Stories based on such structures have been a powerful tool to guide civilisations and morality in the past. With advancing research, super-intelligent systems (AGIs) will be the tools of the future. We are creating a merger of the two, with the hope that it can address two core problems for the coming decades: (1) establishing a value structure for the new society and (2) solving the problem of symbiotic coexistence (that is, aligning values of AI with humans).

Similar to how the role of an ant in an ant colony is influenced by the minerals it consumes, we become the people we meet and the content we consume.
